Swizz Beatz has said that DMX visited him in a dream and assured him that he’s doing okay on the other side.

During an interview with The Breakfast Club on Wednesday (April 26), the super producer spoke about the late rap legend coming to him in a vivid dream one night, saying he could “feel” X’s spirit.

“Man, honestly, it don’t even feel like he’s gone,” Swizz said. “It just feels like he’s away, somewhere chillin’. And then the anniversary will come around or I’ll speak to his fiancée or I’ll speak to his son and I’m like, ‘Whoa.’

“Or I’ll see a video or I’ll scroll through my phone and see pictures and it’ll hit me. But the thing that make me feel easy about it is he came to me.”

He continued: “I seen him in my dream. He came to me. And this was, like, super quick too. And he let me know he was good. I’m the person that be like, ‘He ain’t come to see you, what you talkin’ about?’ I seen him. I felt him, I can smell like — I just couldn’t hear him talk.”

After Charlamagne Tha God asked Swizz Beatz if X looked “young” or “healthy,” the producer replied by saying: “He looked like from when I last seen him.”

“And that’s what was making it feel super real,” he continued. “He was sitting in front of the TV watching South Park, I came and grabbed him. We always used to wrestle and play around like little brothers, and so I wrestle him to the floor and we wrestlin’ and he laughin.’

“But I can’t hear him, I just can see him like, ‘Ah, you crazy.’ Then he got up, grabbed both of my arms and he just looked at me and was like, ‘I’m good.’ And once I seen that, my energy started changing.”

The Ruff Ryders rep then said shortly after his dream, he saw an “X” in the sky while he was at his home. “I took a picture of it and posted it too and I was like, ‘Oh, this is crazy!’ … Ever since then I just felt good.”

Swizz Beatz’s interview comes shortly after the release of his new Hip Hop 50: Vol.2  EP, which is apart of Mass Appeal’s Hip Hop 50: The Soundtrack initiative, commemorating Hip Hop’s 50th birthday.
