Swae Lee is asking his 8.9 million Instagram followers for their assistance. On Monday (December 14), the Rae Sremmurd rapper issued a cry for help to his Instagram Stories after he apparently lost his hard drive at the Los Angeles International Airport. He also put up a handsome reward for its safe return.
“I got 20K for anyone who found my hard drive @LAX T2 delta airlines this morning,” he wrote above a photo of himself. “all my songs are on there.”
Swae Lee hasn’t put out a proper solo album since 2018’s Swaecation, but is expected to release another solo project called Human Nature sometime in the near future. In October, Swae promised SremmLife 4 was on its way in an Instagram post alongside his brother Slim Jxmmi.
Billed as the fourth installment in their SremmLife series, the project will also serve as the Grammy Award-nominated duo’s fourth studio album, following the triple-disc effort SR3MM. Released in May 2018, the 27-track compilation consisted of the aforementioned Swaecation, Jxmmi’s Jxmtro and their joint effort. The project debuted at No. 6 on the Billboard 200 with roughly 57,000 total album-equivalent units sold in its inaugural week.
Last month, Swae Lee and Post Malone’s “Sunflower” collaboration officially sold over 10,000,000 units and was certified diamond by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). Revisit the song below.
