Swae Lee has finally explained how his penis ended up going viral on social media after accidentally posting a video of his privates to his Instagram Story in December 2018.
The singer-rapper explained to Bootleg Kev on Tuesday (April 11) that his intention was to really show off a new stomach tattoo, but since he didn’t have any pants on and raised the camera angle too high, it ended up bringing his exposed groin area into the frame.

“I was trying to show my tattoo one time a couple years back,” he said. “I was in the bathroom just making a video and it was from a weird angle like from the top. It was like right in between. The hoes like, ‘We can’t tell if it’s long or short.’
“I’m in the Hills — I’m in an Airbnb, just got the tattoo. I’m trying to see what it look like recording. This is when Instagram just changed. I’m getting ready to go somewhere I’m in the bathroom. It’s a button it don’t even ask you if you want to post this! It just goes to your Story.
Swae Lee continued: “The shit is circulating on and I’m doing my normal activities. This is like a 15-20 minute process of me going from the bathroom to the car. I’m driving around the Hills [with] no service. No idea what’s going on. Everybody start hitting me, ‘Swae, your dick is online.’
“I get away from my Airbnb more toward the city now and it’s like 10 minutes later and yeah my shit was on there. It was late at night so I knew by morning this shit was gon’ be viral.”
Swae eventually deleted the Story once he got wind of what was going on and tried to explain it was an accident but it was far too late as the damage was done. The social media wildfire was blazing by the morning hours with Twitter abuzz as the “Black Beatles” rapper was trending on Twitter.
“Wake up. Pray. Check ig. Saw #swaelee dick ….it’s not even 9am,” one fan wrote.
