Suave House Records Returns With Jigg, Ice Cube Cosign

The label largely responsible for ’90s success from artists like 8Ball & MJG and Tela has returned once more. Sauve House Records, an imprint celebrating its 20th year, has announced its first new artist in Jigg. Formerly known as Jiggolo, the artist signed to Tony Draper’s imprint hails from Thomasville, Georgia.

In 2005, Jigg, a rapper, producer and songwriter, worked on Rick Ross’ Rise To Power album. The material stemmed from Ross’ days signed to Suave House, prior to his success at Def Jam. Additionally, Jigg is at work with Ice Cube on the N.W.A. alum’s forthcoming album, I Am The West.

From that working relationship, Cube assisted Jigg on “What I Want,” which can be heard here.

Jigg is expected to release an album later this year. Previously, Tony Draper has worked with Ice Cube’s Lench Mob Records on post-Priority independent releases 2006’s Laugh Now, Cry Later and 2008’s Raw Footage.
