Styles Follows Jada

If Jadakiss can sell over 500,000 units than why can’t Styles? Styles is going to see if he can ship some gold or maybe even some platinum. The Lox emcee is busy readying his solo debut called “A Gangster And A Gentlemen.” In somewhat of an attempt to clarify the cheesy title, Styles told Sohh what he means by gangster: “…a gangsta’ ain’t somebody who runnin’ around killing’ people. A gangsta’ is a ni99a who takes care of home, his people and lives by the ‘rules’ and lives by the ‘code.’ A gangsta’ is a ni99a who work 9-5 who just knows the rules of life and knows how to respect a man and how to be respected and he knows where to take it when he’s disrespected. You don’t have to be on the streets sellin’ crack and dope to be a gangsta.’ You can be a poet, a doctor, a construction worker or whatever. Like if ‘you’ do something to me, I don’t believe in stoppin’ until my point is proven. I’m not gon’ stop unless you stop me or unless I’m incarcerated or bleeding badly or I’m dead.”

Apparently, the lead single on the album is going to be “My Life” which also happens to be the lead single from “Soundbombing .3” The song is phat but only because of Pharoahe lacing the hook. The production crew that Styles has employed looks similar to the one that Jada had, Swizz Beatz, DJ Clue, The Alchemist, Rockwilder, Shok, DJ Twinz and PK. Which is an odd decision considering that is was widely regarded that Jada’s album was wack. Funny, I got Jada’s album about a week before it was released last summer and I still haven’t listened to it, I’ll get to it one day and then I can confirm if it was wack or not.
