Stalley Rumored To Sign With Maybach Music Group

After bolstering the Maybach Music Group roster by signing Wale, Pill and Meek Mill, Rick Ross has reportedly signed Cleveland-based emcee Stalley. Stalley apparently met with Ross’ camp backstage at Lil Wayne’s “I Am Still Music” tour. Ross and Stalley then traded a series of messages via Twitter over the weekend and continued through the earlier portions of the week.

The Wale, Pill and Meek Mill signings began in a similar fashion, with all parties keeping Twitter abuzz after some informal, personal meetings. Once the paperwork was taken care of, Ross quickly put the wheels in motion to secure a deal with Warner Music Group and put out the upcoming Self Made compilation.

Stalley has been making his rounds—most notably with his Lincoln Way Nights (Intelligent Trunk Muzik) project. If a deal is finalized, Stalley most likely will not make the May 24 release date of Self Made, which has presumably been recorded already.

    1. This is wack, just wack. Nas might as well sign to maybach too. While ur at it sign Kendrick Lamar. And have all these niggas dressed up in tacky car salesmen suits and rappin bout coke and officer donuts… SMH.. I thought hip hop was coming back to life. No more honest lyrics from Stalley…

      1. DAM you obviously aint a faithful fan, wale is singed to the same label but he ain’t lyrically wack

      2. A rapper is definitely influenced by the label he is on dont be fooled. I do wish Stalley would of signed too like good music or roc nation (even though roc nation needs to put its artist out their more still waiting for that J.cole debut) , and yeah wale has changed.

    2. This is dumb on Stalley’s part, how do you know Ross is going to put you out, just because of a “coversation” you two had ? I have an ole saying that goes “Don’t trust a person by their words, trust them by their actions”

      1. I understand your point but just keep in mind we dont see everything, and its somewhat presumptuous of you to assume that they have only had a “conversation”, if they are seriously in talks then im sure they have ongoing conversations on the phone and through other means that are just behind the scenes. (as a side note I dont like RickRock he is fake, but he is a good business man from what I can tell im not going to lie)

    3. plenty of other good labels to sign with and he chose the darkside…rick ross can’t rap, he’s just a smart business man…dammit stalley!!! i thought you would have been one of the brothas to save hip-hop…you betta sign with JETS!!!…..fool

    4. I’m feelin this move (marketing & financially) wise for Stalley.

*But please don’t change that style or image! DO YOU!!

      Divine, PEACE!

    5. MakeBadMusic, I mean Maybach music got some shit coming boy, whoa I mean… Pill, gunplay, wale, meek, and now stalley, this totally goes together… SIKE.

    6. This is kinda suprising. Can only hope this signing, along w/ freddie gibbs signing to CTE, wont change these dudes.

    7. Stalley… You know you got nothin in common with this dude…your beard is way cooler…they gonna try to get you to ghostwrite man…skip that!!!…if you sign that contract you gonna end up as a hype man for pill…please don’t stalley!!! Your music is classic every time it hits…

    8. SO YOU HAVE TO HAVE SOMETHING IN COMMON TO SIGN WITH A PARTICULAR LABEL. I NEVER UNDERSTOOD THE HATE FOR RICK ROSS. HE’S FAKE, BECAUSE HE LIED….HMMMM. I GUESS THAT MEANS WE ARE ALL FAKE!! I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHAT OPPORTUNITIES DO YOU HAVE FOR STALLEY?? AND OBVIOUSLY RICK ROSS HAS A EAR FOR TALENT. HE IS ALSO SIGNING ARTIST WHO DON’T NECESSARILY NEED HIM, BUT THEY MADE A CHOICE TO SIGN. I BETCHU THAT HIS ARTISTS WILL BE MORE SUCCESSFUL THAN WE THINK. WAKE UP CLOWNS!!!
