Spring Breaking College Teen Shot & Killed During Production Of D.C. Rap Video

On Monday (March 20) Ayana McAllister, 18, was in attendance for a rap music video shoot in Northeast Washington, D.C. According to her father, Anthony McAllister, she was home on spring break from Saint Augustine’s University in Raleigh, North Carolina when tragedy struck.

Sometime around 8:40 p.m., the college teen was fatally shot in the 4300 block of Benning Road, Northeast, NBC reports. Police also revealed a second woman was shot and hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries before they arrived.

“That’s my baby. I just miss her warm smile, the close relationship that we have,” Anthony McAllister told the press. He says his daughter was watching the video shoot of a friend who is a rapper and “she was at the wrong place at the wrong time.”

Authorities have yet to release any information about the gunman or a possible motive but are urging anyone with information surrounding the shooting or footage from the rap music video to contact the police at 202-727-9099.

Earlier this year, Ayana McAllister’s cousin, Carrington Carter, was also shot and killed in Capitol Heights.

Upon news of the shooting, Saint Augustine’s University tweeted out their condolences to McAllister’s family.

      1. yup. Can U explain how this shooting Justifies the action of police officers who are in a position of authority? Or do u always juxtapose issues no matter how unrelated to prove ur point?

        1. What does this have to do with police officers? But thank you for proving my point. Black Lives apparently only have value once the police or the white man take it.. Kudos.

          1. No u didn’t prove anything but u did expose yourself. All black lives have value, regardless of one idiots action. However u choose to focus on one mans action to excuse or ignore the actions of those in authority.

            1. I know that. Apparently you don’t. You are like the rest of the sheep who need someone else to put value on your life. Sad..

      1. rest assured we will find out soon enough for i can hear T.I. typing an open letter somewhere in the distance

    1. The black community. The media who doesn’t report this. The people “in charge” who let brown and black people senselessly kill each other. Everyone is to blame for shit like this.

    2. is there already a schedule for the #BlackLivesMatter protest? what? – there isn’t going to a protest?

    3. Was it a cop?!?! Oh wait no it was another black person who no one will tell the cops on because black people dont talk to cops cops are the enemy even though your the ones stamping out one another lifes like there nothing but oh the cops are the bad guys this right here is why blacklivesmatter shouldnt even exist they chase police literaly the SMALLEST FRACTION of what is killing black people in this country and the LARGEST killers of black people are them god damn selfs and heart disease why dont they chase that? Oh wait it doesnt get them news time to scream like fucking morons and talk about getting rid of white people which arent even the problem its priceless its the most pathetic finger pointing cause ive ever wittnessed

        1. Im aware but thankfuly ill be gone by then my friend and thats a part of the problem when it comes to races other than white people stop having 5-10 kids a household your doing nothing but impoverishing the world sort of a part of the problem in the inner cities people have 1-2-3 kids but arent smart enough to STOP next thing its 15 kids and you cant even eat led alone get them all to school everyday so you can enjoy that mentality and at the same time enjoy a broke ass world with constant arguing bickering robbing and murder because it will be overpopulated and there will not be enough resources to go around just like in the inner cities the world your speaking of will be a world like a chicago so hope your children enjoy that world

    4. That woman was a baby…20 years? That’s way too early to get your life snuffed out…These idiots out here need to get their shit together for real smh

    5. I really dislike that wrong place wrong time statement from her dad. It just goes to show how lost my people are that the victim his daughter is blamed for being out just trying to have fun…. We destroy ourselves due to lack of knowledge… good day negros

It was not a white guy out there with a gun but again brown blk brotha who should be given death row, simple as that.
