Souls Of Mischief are currently on a world tour in celebration of the 30th anniversary of their seminal debut album, 93 ‘Til Infinity, and the Bay Area crew have now treated fans to a remix of its title track.

On Tuesday (August 1), the group appeared on Red Bull’s Spiral series spitting never-before-heard verses over the song that put them on the map. The remix shows all four members — A-Plus, Phesto, Opio and Tajai — freestyling over the A-Plus-produced beat.

As all four members reimagine the original hit with brand-new bars, they circle back and take turns on the iconic hook: “This is how we chill from 93 ’til.”

The Souls, who, along with Del Tha Funkee Homosapien, Casual, Pep Love, DJ Tourē, and producer Domino formed the Hieroglyphics collective, released their debut album, 93 ‘Til Infinity, on February 13, 1993, via Jive Records.

Celebrated for its internal rhyme schemes, live bass beats, and obscure jazz and funk samples, the album spawned the singles “That’s When Ya Lost,” “Never No More,” and the LP’s groundbreaking title track. Acting as an apt metaphor for the album’s enduring appeal, the latter is still an essential cut for any rap fan.

Earlier this year, the group announced that they would be hitting the road for the 93 ‘Til Infinity 30th Anniversary Tour 2023: Around The World In 93 Dates. The European leg of the extensive trek wrapped up in April, with a handful of North American shows yet to take place all the way into mid-September.

Additionally, Souls Of Mischief, The Pharcyde and Tha Alkaholiks are teaming up to commemorate not just the milestones of their iconic albums but also the 50th anniversary of Hip Hop.

In a post on Souls Of Mischief’s official Instagram account, the group shared a flyer for the upcoming event, which will take place at the Novo in Lost Angeles on August 13.
