In a video that was posted on YouTube earlier this week, Soulja Boy speaks directly to the parents of his young fans.
“I got an announcement that I wanna make to all the parents out there who kids are in love with me and all my fans that listen to my music,” Soulja Boy explained. “I just wanna tell ya’ll that I apologize to all the parents that have heard me say anything that they wouldn’t want their kids to hear coming from me. Over the past few months I have had the chance to meet a lot of my fans face to face, and it made me realize that I got a large fan base of kids that look up to me. I realize now that I have a greater responsibility to the kids that wanna be just like Soulja Boy.”
Over the past few months, Soulja Boy had made headlines with his feuds with other artists including Ice-T and Charles Hamilton [click to read]. He also received a fury of criticism for his “slave master” remarks [click to read].
