Soulja Boy’s skateboarding skills clearly haven’t improved much since last year, as the rapper almost suffered a nasty fall during a recent concert.

Big Draco decided to enter a recent show by rolling in on his skateboard, but soon after hopping on the board nearly tripped and fell in front of the audience.

“Almost fell off my skate board lmao,” Soulja wrote on Instagram. “I love y’all!”

Luckily he was able to recover and ran through his show as usual.

Big Draco unveiled his new skateboarding abilities back in April, but once he took to Instagram to hit a mini halfpipe. Soulja wore protective gear minus a helmet and dipped into the halfpipe smoothly until he got to the other end and the skateboard shot out from under him.

The way the Atlanta rapper tried to break his fall could have ended up in him fracturing his leg, as he said in the video.

“I’m good,” Soulja Bay said as he lay on the ground. “I almost broke my leg.”

Now Soulja Boy isn’t the first rapper to get on a skateboard and perform tricks on a halfpipe. People such as Pharrell Williams helped introduce skate culture to Hip Hop in the early 2000s, and today, artists such as Lil Wayne are devoted to getting better at the sport.

Big Draco’s nearly catastrophic fall is just the latest in what’s been a rough month for the “Crank That” rapper. In July, it was revealed by Radar Onlinethat he has a debt to the IRS totaling more than $1 million, and the rapper recently admitted that his assets are limited: he owns three cars (two worth $250,000 each, and one worth $100,000), has about $18,000 worth of jewelry, and $50,000 worth of stock.

His attorney admitted to the Santa Monica Superior Court on Thursday (July 13) that Soulja Boy couldn’t liquidate his assets because “they are in essence, tools of his trade” as an entertainer, and he has an image to maintain.

Even if Soulja Boy were to liquidate all his assets, he couldn’t pay the $476,000 owed to his ex, Kayla Myers. For that reason, he’s petitioning the court to forgo the punitive damages awarded to her — and, failing that, to throw the whole case out and get a retrial.
