Soulja Boy has admitted that his alleged beef with NBA Youngboy and Lil Durk was all derived from the spirit of competition.
Speaking on The Bootleg Kev Podcast that arrived on Saturday (May 13), the “Crank That” rapper cleared up any misconceptions about there being animosity between himself and the two rap superstars.

“It ain’t nothing man,” Soulja Boy said. “Shit, he sent a little tweet out so I just responded man. It’s all good though. Our albums just so happened to fall on the same day. So, it’s gonna be some competition. You dig what I’m saying? But, at the end of the day, shoutout to NBA Youngboy.”
Soulja also said he would be open to doing a song with the Baton Rouge rapper. He then clarified and said his feud had nothing to do with NBA Youngboy, but rather Lil Durk. Durk’s Almost Healed and YoungBoy’s Richest Opp were initially set to arrive on Friday (May 12), the same day as Soulja’s new project, Soulja Season.

“It didn’t really have nothing to do with him though,” referencing NBA Youngboy. “It started off with Durk. You feel what I’m saying? I didn’t know young bull was dropping. It ain’t really have nothing to do with him. I announced the album and then Durk came and said he was dropping on the same day, then YB said he was coming to drop. He wasn’t really in it. You feel me? He just got it in cause he wanted to drop on the same day as Durk dropped. But, it’s just competition at the end of the day.”

Soulja Boy then saluted Lil Durk by calling him a “real n-gga” for pushing his album back to May 26 in an alleged attempt to give everyone room to drop their respective projects.
Big Draco seems to be singing a different tune than he was last week when he dropped a rage-filled, expletive-laden video directed at NBA YoungBoy.
“I cannot wait to meet you, n-gga! Wait ’til you get off house arrest, n-gga!” Soulja Boy screamed into the camera. “Fuck you talmbout? Pussy-ass, bitch-ass n-gga! N-gga know where the fuck I’m at, n-gga! Fuck you talmbout, n-gga? Yo’house covered by muthafuckin’ police, n-gga. Yo’house covered by the muthafuckin’ police!”

He continued: “You ain’t been out the crib in a year, n-gga! You been in the crib too long, n-gga! I’m outside every day, n-gga! Every muthafuckin’ day, n-gga! Bring yo’pussy-ass outside, n-gga. We gon’see when you get off house arrest then, n-gga. Fuck!”
