Snoop Dogg Issues Defiant Response To Trump Performance Backlash: ‘You Can’t Tear Me Down’

Snoop Dogg has finally responded to the criticism he’s received for performing at an event in celebration of Donald Trump’s return to the White House — and he isn’t waving the white flag.

While Snoop had previously been an outspoken critic of the controversial president, he, along with Rick Ross and Soulja Boy, performed at the Crypto Ball, one of several inauguration events held in Washington, D.C. earlier this month.

After facing heavy backlash online, including from his own fans and social media followers, Snoop addressed his decision to perform at the event in a video posted to Instagram on Sunday (January 26).

“Y’all can’t hate enough me for me, I love too much. Get your life right, stop worrying about mine,” he said. “I’m cool, I’m together. Still a Black man. Still a hundred percent Black. I ain’t going nowhere, cuh! I’m right here. Get the Crypto on Crip, though.”

He then addressed his Black critics: “We gotta learn to pick each other up instead of pulling each other down. That’s what we’re great at as Black people, we’re great at tearing each other down. You can be up one minute and they try to pull you down the next.

“But I’m a strong Black man, I’m cut from a different cloth. You can’t tear me down. I’m one of God’s children, and I’m taking the load.”

Snoop Dogg was dragged on social media after he performed at the pro-Trump event and posed for pictures with far-right influencers.

A former Barack Obama staffer accused the rap legend of being a hypocrite after previously criticizing Black artists who performed at Trump’s first inauguration in 2017.

“Who would have guessed that Snoop Dogg would end up being one of the ‘Uncle Tom ass n-ggers’ he himself railed against not long ago? What a fucking sellout,” they vented on X (formerly Twitter).

Despite his past animosity, Snoop has softened his stance towards Donald Trump ever since he pardoned Death Row co-founder Michael “Harry O” Harris in early 2021.

In an interview with The Sunday Times last year, Tha Doggfather said: “Donald Trump? He ain’t done nothing wrong to me. He has done only great things for me. He pardoned Michael Harris. So I have nothing but love and respect for Donald Trump.”

    1. Libtards are the biggest pussies on the planet. Maybe they should’ve had primaries and selected a qualified candidate instead of installing drunk ass Kamala as your choice

      1. You know what’s the most hysterically funny thing about this whole debacle? Snoop was always an industry plant retard. He always pushed evil, senseless violence, gangs, drugs, and alcohol in every aspect of his music and brand. There’s no denying at one point in history cannabis was medicinal but now it’s all hybrids and straight poison being peddled daily. Also, reality check, he’s 53 years old still publicly saying “on crip” and brazenly glorifying gang life. The world would be better off if someone just put him down like Old Yeller at this point.

      2. One of my best followers. I hope to see you at the next rally with your sister/wife. I just want to tell you there’s nothing wrong with that. As you know, I slept with Ivanka until she was 30. So very tremendous to seed up your own family members. Very tremendous.

      1. Both of you idiots are stupid bootlicking guvt pawns. Different wings, same corrupt ass bird. The whole system and all political parties are intrinsically corrupt and all monetary systems are dictatorships. Most of you dumb mfers who are so outspoken don’t even understand the federal system. Every new dollar printed is owed to someone by someone. You are entrenched in a carefully hidden system of wage slavery fundamentally based on dealing in debt, and you don’t even know it. And stock is short for livestock. There are no accidents.

      2. “Stop writing paragraphs” is short for I have IQ of a russian toilet. Not his fault your parents are brother and sister. Public education failed your ass. That’s why Elon isn’t hiring Americans.

      3. Yes, we should live like baboons in the wild. I love non-followers like you who can’t see that I’m infinitely worse for everything than the Democrats even more than my sister fucking follower up above. Very tremendous. I’m going to go take a shit and post on Truth Social and Twitter at the same time. I’ll make Truth Tweets.

    2. This is yet another example of why Trump won in a landslide. Republicans worry about crime, the economy , illegal aliens flooding our country, inflation, funding wars that are none of our business, etc, etc. Dems are worried about who celebrities endorse. Kamala spent enormous amounts of campaign money to pay for celebrities to perform for her and it didn’t help a bit

      1. Yes, you pets of mine don’t realize that I don’t give a shit about those things either. We’re going to get some more Indians and slant eyes in here to work for cheap and turn this into Mumbai West. We’ll be very tremendous. I should cut the middle class salary by three-quarters by the end of my second term. Just like Ronald Reagan took all the factory jobs out of here, I’m going to get rid of all of the middle class tech jobs. This is going to be so tremendous.

    3. After destroying your favorite rappers credibility and the FBA’s agenda making traction, we will take our beautiful country back while the blacks continue fighting amongst each other.

      1. Cope harder, little guy. I hope your Safe Space is comfortable for the next 4 years… Bring some extra crayons

      2. I don’t think Snoop was anyone’s favorite rapper before I put him on a leash, but us out of touch old white guys have to take what we can get.

      3. I wouldnt know who any of these thugs amd hooligans listen to. I just know if Martha Stewart likes him, he must have a beautiful supporting fanbase.

      4. Whoever this trump guy is, you crack me the fuck up. Fuck the haters, you’re lolz are priceless. Excellent 10/10 humor 😭😭😭

    4. Snoop is all about the money. His soul is for sale, essentially. He’s not who he says he is. You can respect the idea that it shouldn’t be an issue for an artist to perform for the President in a post-election celebration without being cancelled for it. However, when it comes to him, his past rhetoric and actions have indicated that made a principled stance against Trump to the fans. Now that those fans and the media have held him to account for it, he’s now responding with arrogance and dodging the question to avoid apologizing for taking it too far. Truth is the Dogfather giving dogs a bad name. Dogs are loyal by nature. He, on the hand betrayed his fans. Maybe he isn’t the OG he was thought to be. Just thinking, if he could do that to his fans what more to the Pac!? Yikes

      1. Yet trump was best friends with Epstein and Elon was best friends with Diddy. Republican’s are some special kind of retard.

    5. Trump hasn’t been in Office for a full week yet and the Libtards are already losing their minds . It’s gonna be a glorious four years. Make insane asylums great again Lol

    6. Its more about how LOUD and fake you are..so many examples of changing sides after a loud ass opinion .learn to stfu

    7. The sheep that follow a sexual predator and push breaking the law to fit their own personal needs will in the end be left behind and punished beyond belief because karma knows your address and if they don’t come for you then it will be who you live the most. Keep talking sh+t behind your cowardly aliases. You all dumb as f*ck and prove it day after day. Inbreeding is real you all need to find love in someone else besides your mothers, sisters and cousins.

      1. We’ve been fucking them with no lube for 50 years. They love it. I’ve even got them calling me daddy like I’m busting that ass in public.

    8. I could care less. Snoop you had a partnership with Def Jam and both of you promised us new games that never happened where is our new Def Jam game! Stop wasting all of your time attacking this man on politics that goes no where we can hold him on something he can make happen! EA just had a year of flops maybe if we had a new NBA Street and Def Jam that wouldn’t happen!

    9. Snoop can do what he wants. He owes me and you nothing. We never learn as a community. Some believe we should all think the same..act the same etc. If not then you are selling out..uncle Tom etc. meanwhile the Democrats still do nothing for the black community. But they still get the black vote. Still get a big section of the black community riding for them. I don’t get it. I’m starting to think some of us are slow.

    10. Snoop don’t worry make amends with the “mumble” rappers you mocked and Dave Blunts and finally make a Def Jam spiritual successor the guys who made Fight For NY have a studio called Octopus Panic commission them to make this game.

    11. Wtf is going on here? I came here to read what snoop did, and I’m seeing a bunch of witches praying on destruction from politics on both sides smh.
