Rapsody – “Facts Only”
Rap is not a game. Rapsody knows it. “Facts Only,” a track off the deluxe version of She Got Game, is one that stands out as another showcase of her talent. “Go Kendrick,” Rapsody rhymes on the selection. “I told these niggas that this ain’t tennis.” Rapsody also uses the song as a way to make a statement. “We should line up more than on Saturday for some shoes,” Rapsody says. Without a hook, “Facts Only” plays straight through as yet another example of why more listeners need to wake up to Rapsody’s sound. – Andres Tardio (@AndresWrites)

Juvenile – “LL Cool J”
Juvenile plays off the opening lines of LL Cool J‘s 1987 single “I Need Love” to set off the hard-hitting “LL Cool J,” a cut that showcases that the New Orleans rapper can still deliver potent material. The Louisiana act also uses a flow here similar to the one LL freaked on “Kanday,” blending menace with impressive punchlines similar to those that accented his best work with Cash Money Records in the 1990s and 2000s. Sonically, the song thumps thanks to heavy bass and a bassline that sounds similar to the one used on Lil Jon & The East Side Boyz‘s 2004 hit “What U Gon’ Do.” By borrowing from the past, Juvenile creates a stellar selection. – Soren Baker (@SorenBaker)

Stalley f. Rashad – “Blue Collar Gang”
Stalley provides some solid advice on “Blue Collar Gang.” Offering a hard-working perspective, Stalley approaches the get-money angle from a different perspective. “Everybody’s hustling to make it,” Stalley says. “I spoke to my OG, he said ‘Hustlin’s overrated.'” Telling fans to make wise decisions, Stalley supplies a breath of fresh air with “Blue Collar Gang” with rhymes full of positive insight. “There’s more than one way to feed these kids,” Rashad sings on the hook. There’s also more than one way to rep the money-stacking mentality and this one reps for the blue collar route. – Andres Tardio (@AndresWrites)
