Sir Michael Rocks: “The Cool Kids Are Never Coming Back”

The Cool Kids have been officially defunct since at least late 2012, and yet, neither Sir Michael Rocks or Chuck Inglish seem to be able to escape the duo’s footprint.

Apparently, frustrated by frequent questions about the possibility of a reunion, Sir Michael Rocks took to Twitter yesterday to confirm once and for all that The Cool Kids are no more.

Rocks followed quickly after with a promo image for his next release, Populair.

Earlier this month, Sir Michael Rocks released “Pull Up,” the first video from the project.

    1. I swear this is the first time I’m hearing about this dude and his group. They definitely won’t be missed.

    2. funny how last week I was thinking about this group. Sad how so many groups and artists were one hit wonders when they came out….guess they blew lol

    3. I really liked the Cool Kids when they came out, and both Mikey and Chuck have done interesting things since with their solo stuff. I’m not really feeling this one, since Mikey doesn’t really “rap” too much in the standard sense. I understand when a rapper wants to move on from their past, obviously you grow as an artist, and he ain’t the same guy he was when he was 18. That said, he sounded so nasty over Chuck’s beats, it was a perfect combo. Do your thing Mikey, but don’t shut the door on the producer you came in with, there could be some heat down the road if you get back in the lab.
