Following in the footsteps of G.O.O.D. Music brother Kanye, Kid Cudi plans to turn his recent collaboration with Definitive Jux veteran Cage and St. Vincent “MANIAC” into a short film. Now, news has broken that the man sitting in the director’s chair for the film will be none other than friend of Cage and star of the Transformers series Shia LeBouf.
Although details a scant, both Cage and “MANIAC” producer Dot Da Genius have confirmed the film and its director last week on Twitter. They have even posted a picture of Cudi holding the script treatment in hand (see above).
Oh yeah we’re doing a short film RT @Dotdagenius side project, we do what we want -Cudi http://twitpic.com/33ww1g
This isn’t the first time Shia LeBouf has stepped behind the camera. LeBouf directed the video to Cage’s “I Never Knew You” off of last year’s Depart From Me. He is also reportedly slated to portray Cage in an upcoming biopic.
I never would of thought that even stevens would grow up to direct “rap” videos hahaha
he’s a huge def jukie and a HUUUUGE cage dickrider so it’s not too surprising, haha.
