Scoop DeVille is working on a yet-to-be-titled album and has released the first single in the form of “Suavecito.” The project will be mixed and mastered by DJ Quik, according to a press release.
Scoop DeVille has kept himself busy producing as he’s had placements on 50 Cent’s The Kanan Tape, Paul Wall’s Slabgod, Taylor Gang’s TGOD Volume 1 and Casey Veggies’ Customized Greatly Vol. 4.
Besides preparing the album, Scoop has created a collection of merch honoring his father, Latino rap pioneer Frost. He partnered with Los Angeles-based company SSUR for the hats, jackets and T-shirts that say “La Raza,” an homage to the people represented by Frost’s breakout song when he was known as Kid Frost. The apparel is available online at SSUR.com or in-store.

Chicano culture. Kid Frost was mean back in the day. I miss the Boo Yaa Tribe too!! Scoop needs to redo La Raza–trap remix.
I REALLY HOPE YOU GUYS KNOW THAT KID FROST IS SCOOP DEVILLE’S FATHER.
I respect scoop deville, homie has some dope slapps. But i dont respect his father, that story fat joe told on drink champs has him looking real scrap-ish the way he reacted to fat joe and the way he interacted with black people. Shit is sus and makes dude seem fufu…
