During part one of his “The Road To #DeeplyRooted” web-series, Houston, Texas rapper Scarface spoke briefly on what fans cans expect from his upcoming album, which is currently titled Deeply Rooted. According to the Geto Boys lyricist, the album will focus on his life, both the good times and the bad times.
He also offered his insight into the rap game, stating that it remains the same, with the goal being to win and then “get out the way.”
“It talks about my life,” Scarface said while speaking on his album. “It talks about the good times, the bad times. The game the same. It don’t switch. The same rules apply in this game as it did in the other games that we played. You play that mothafucka, you win it, and then you get out the way.”
Later in the video, Scarface offered a look at one of his newest tattoos, which he’s titled “American Justice.”
“It’s called ‘American Justice,’” he said. “You got your Klansman. You got your gavel. You got your United States flag. You got your fists with the shackles on it. You got your chains. And then you got the poor, little black youngster hanging. And that my friends is American justice.”
Scarface first revealed his plans to release Deeply Rooted, last year. During an exclusive interview with HipHopDX last April, the rapper revealed that Deeply Rooted will likely be a surprise release.
“As far as a release, I’m just gonna drop it one day,” Scarface said while speaking with HipHopDX.

There needs to be a website for old niggas or something. HipHopAARP!
And that right there is a key problem with Hiphop—we shit on our elders. Cats turn 35 or 40 and hiphop ain’t got no use for em… unless they willing to make songs for 15yro olds. Then we turn around and wonder why the shit is so dysfunctional.
No culture survives by throwing away its elders like this.Rock and Roll don’t do this. Instead they revere their old artists. Jazz don’t even do this. Classical. Country… no other genre shits on its old like Hiphop.
Scarface is a legend. pioneering lyricist with albums you can leanr tehcnique and writing from right now today.
But naaaaawwww…
he old.
Hiphop throws away old black artists and kisses young white artists and fans asses. Then wonders why the facts and truth don’t get passed down beyond a couple label-approves, big media-approved documentaries and shows…
SMH.
@ Sir Nose: You said exactly what I was thinking. Give props to the legends and inspire the youth to have lengthy illustrious careers
Ignorant little boy, show some GD respect. What’s the problem? You never had a father in your life. Single parent home? What’s really going on for you to disrespect this legend. #Bastardchild
