Def Jam Records co-founder and Hip Hop mogul Russell Simmons is soon to be publishing his third book. On January 4, 2011, Gotham Books will release Super Rich: A Guide To Having It All by Simmons and Chris Morrow.
“The ultimate state of being rich is to honestly be in a state of needing nothing. To need nothing is to be super rich,” said Simmons in a statement about the book. At different points in his career, Simmons has had an estimated worth ranging between 100 and 300 million dollars.
In 2002, Simmons released his first memoir, Life & Def. Five years later, the mogul, who now owns Hip Hop website GlobalGrind.com, released a 12-step self-empowerment book called Do You!.
You need to research your RushCard business. You have poor customer service coming from India???? It is an embarassment as a US citizen. And you have people in the US that needs jobs!!!! Why cant you set an office up in New York? Please respond, immediately!!
Hi I am just a small business owner.I know you may not even want to waste your time reading this but I am trying to be in that state of mind and im in need of some major help if im going to be able to keep my salon please help.
DONT FALL FOR UNCLE TOM AKA HUSTLE RUSSEL
@Frustrated Customer:
I doubt Mr. Simmons would ever see this. You should direct your complaint through the company website.
Like many US companies from Microsoft to Dell, Rush Card’s services are outsourced to a foreign country to save on personnel costs. By using foreign labor, there is not medical & federal tax to pay, just money for services rendered. It’s standard business.
@lashanna pennant:
You may want to check with the SBA for small business loans or Kiva which does microfinancing also in the US. Good luck with your salon. If you have a business plan and have an established relationship with your bank, you may be able to get a loan if you can show consistent cash flow with low liabilities monthly.
@Anonymous:
I assume you mean he an Uncle Tom because he’s made it in corporate America. Though corporate America is lacking in “brotha’s that keep it real” department, I assure you that you don’t make it that far without being a shrewd business man. Also, I’m sure he’s donated more to charity that you might ever do in your life. People like you sit on the sidelines complaining and making up excuses like “He only made it that far because he’s a sellout/illuminati/Half Jewish/devil worshipper, etc.” Why don’t you take a look in the mirror and see if your mentality is serving you well in this life.
