Producer Ron Browz, who has masterminded tracks for the likes of Nas, Ludacris, 50 Cent, Busta Rhymes, Jim Jones, Fat Joe, Lloyd Banks, Snoop Dogg and many more, is taking a step into the limelight with an album of his own.
July 20 will see the release of Etherlibrium, which will feature guest spots from Maino, Red Cafe, J.R. Writer, as well as others. Nearly every song on the album will have an accompanying video, released over the course of the summer.
The name of the album is a play on the song title “Ether,” the legendary diss track Browz produced for Nas in 2001. Since then, he has produced hits like his solo outing “Pop Champagne,” in addition to Busta Rhymes’ “Arab Money.”
Browz landed a solo deal at Universal Republic when “Pop Champagne” was peaking, but the album was never released. However, Etherlibrium will see the light of day as a now-independent Ron Browz will release the project exclusively on iTunes on July 20.
“I feel like I owe the fans this iTunes release collectively, being that I didn’t get to put out the album as planned,” said Ron. “All the fans got from me was select singles, so this is more street records than radio records. Before Jay-Z’s ‘D.O.A.’ even came out, I already had records without the auto-tune. People who really follow what I’ve been doing know that I was just experimenting and having fun. I made it creative and made it work.”
The release of Etherlibrium will coincide with the launch of BrowzWithMe.com, which will feature new videos and songs from all spectrums of popular music, and Browz will utilize the platform to unveil his own exclusive material to readers.
“I want people to really get to know me. I don’t believe in doing just one kind of music, and I’m just doing whatever I feel. I put my heart into this Etherlibrium project – it’s more lyrical than stuff people have really heard from me. It’s well put together, and I don’t think I was meant to be limited to releasing singles… I was meant to put whole projects together.”
