Ron Artest Releases Star-Studded Mixtape, Includes Nas, Gucci Mane

With NBA All Star Weekend just around the corner, Los Angeles Laker Ron Artest is looking forward to dropping more than just jump shots. He’s also set to drop his latest mixtape, titled Ball’n.

While the Lakers forward is not particularly revered for producing clever or provocative lyrics, his latest tape shows that he sure as hell has a knack for pulling together some of  Hip Hop’s most popular, and in some instances, most respected talents. Artists featured on the mixtape include Nas, Bun B, Chamillionaire, Three 6 Mafia, Gucci Mane, Paul Wall, and others. DJ Felli Fell hosts the project.

The mixtape will drop with Artest’s new basketball sneaker, also called Ball’n, and will be presented on Friday, February 18 at the ESPN Zone in the LA Live Entertainment Complex. There are five different color schemes, one being, of course, the white, purple, and gold Lakers colors.

The Ball’n mixtape will also be available on Vibe.com a day earlier, on February 17. Artest will  not participate in NBA All Star Weekend, but will be in Los Angeles during the event.

    1. agree fully dft. this fagg is a nobody nowadays out on the court. and this music will no doubt be a joke. TRADE RON ARTEST LA IF YOU REALLY WANNA THREE-PEAT….

      1. Nah, you can’t compare that. That was way early in the season, it was before the the Cavs became the joke of the league. Celtics went on a 14 game win streak right after that too. So no biggie.

Lakers lost with Mo Williams playing only 3 minutes and Cavs with no Varejao, lmao.

      2. i hate anderson varejo and i been rockin w/ the cavs since ricky davis used to rip shit down. even when he forced that miss to get the rebound for his triple double lmao.
