Rick Ross has launched his own weed strain named after his old Miami stomping grounds.

According to TMZ, the MMG mogul partnered with cannabis company High Tolerance for a strain called Collins Ave, which is set to be released on June 1.

“High Tolerance is the best flower for all the ones who like to blow that good gas,” Rozay said. “This is the best flower in the world … this is why I decided to team up with High Tolerance. They have the best flower on the streets. Shout out to Manny, the biggest.”

The brand’s co-founder, Manny, also showed his excitement for collaborating with Rick Ross, telling TMZ he’s “a true cannabis connoisseur.”

The Florida rapper joins the likes of Jadakiss, Jim Jones, Ghostface Killah, Juelz Santana, A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, Beanie Sigel, Dave East, Millyz, Lil Meech and the late Draco the Ruler as ambassadors for High Tolerance.

This isn’t the first time Rick Ross has used his old Miami neighborhood’s name for a weed line. In 2020, he teamed up with Berner’s cannabis brand Cookies to launch Collins Ave, featuring three specially curated strains: Collins Ave, Pink Rozay and Lemon Pepper.

Rick Ross also launched a hemp company in 2021 that aimed to help smokers reap the health benefits of the plant.

He teamed up with Rap Snacks CEO James Lindsay and San Diego-based hemp manufacturing company Hempacco to form Hemp Hop, rolling out a line of smokables including CBD cigarettes and a hemp blunt rolling paper.

“I truly believe in the health benefits of Hemp derived products,” Ross said in a statement. “Having had my own health scares, and through my healing process, I decided I would develop a line of smokables to help others with the benefits of hemp cannabinoids.”

Rick Ross has had a number of health scares over the years, suffering multiple seizures in 2011 and again in 2018, which he attributed to a codeine habit.
