Rick Ross Responds To 50 Cent Trolling Him Over ‘Too Good To Be True’ Sales

Rick Ross and Meek Mill’s joint project generated meager album sales since its release last month, and 50 Cent has seen this as an opportunity to strike.

On Monday (December 4), the G-Unit mogul uploaded a recap of his Final Lap Tour performance in Adelaide, Australia. Though the video is mostly about the show and fans in attendance, he still managed to slip in a shot at his rivals.

“When you sold 31,009 CDs, I shouldn’t talk to you,” he says, referring to the first-week sales of Too Good to Be True.

Rozay caught wind of the slight and subsequently took to Instagram with a response, mentioning 50 Cent’s girlfriend, former video model Jamira “Cuban Link” Haines.

“I just got a DM that say, ‘Rozay, we believe 50 Cent just made a comment about you online.’ I seen it and I said, ‘Y’all don’t know 50 Cent like I do. He wouldn’t do that,'” he said.

“For one, his bitch is Dream Chasers. She’s been a Dream Chasers bitch for many years — still is. That’s when she told me I was her favorite.”

He continued: “For two: n-gga, we been rich! We still getting money. Them n-ggas was laughing at my first-week sales. They was doing a million first week and I did 150, 180 [thousand] and they was laughing.”

“But you smell that saltwater, right?” he asked, panning the camera to his lavish outdoor pool. “Don’t let them n-ggas trick you. Biggest!”

Soon after the release of Too Good To Be True in late November, Meek Mill reacted to its first-week sales projections on social media. The LP was estimated to move between 30,000–35,000 units in seven days, which was lower than some fans’ expectations.

Regarding that, the Philly rapper explained that he’s playing a different game than the one most industry professionals submit to as he and Ross “own” the album.

“It’s says me and Ross on pace to sell 35k first week I would post if it said 350k… I’m too nice and rich to be rapping in a control music environment that’s why we dropping music on Fridays it’s doesn’t make sense,” he wrote on Twitter.

“Now we all own our music we getting the tech built to put people on our own musical subscriptions and we gone let direct to consumer see if rap if doing well.”

Meek went on to add that the project is going platinum in the streets: “The streets love this album too! I’m use every drop of my talent now I own 100 percent of my music now! It was top tier rap for the hustlers and winners! Tap in ‘ITS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE’ owned by ‘WILLIAM ROBERTS X ROBERT WILLIAMS DIRSTO [sic] BY:GAMMA.”

      1. Nobody knows about Rick Ross and Meek Mill outside USA. USA loves to promote people with made-up life stories.

      2. So what? You sound like 50. Rick Ross and Meek Mill live in the USA who cares if they don’t get played in Scandinavia? The fact is after 50 dropped GRODT all his album sells saw huge declines until he realized those people buying his albums in Kazakhstan wasn’t buying enough. This dude had one of the biggest albums and only released 5 solo albums before he noticed less and less people were interested in hearing from him. He won’t put out music but is clowning the sells of those who do.

      3. You can listen to that album in any country you want, it’s still dog shit. Similar to the CO’s last few albums

      4. I don’t follow 50 like that now but his first 3 albums were like 10 mill, then came back with 5 mill, and 3rd album came back with over 1 mill..that’s still a big accomplishment , not to mention gunit projects in between..it took Ross years to get 1 of his albums to go over 1 mill

    1. This is actually the second time 50 clowned Officer Ricky and Meeks album sales. He did it in a tour video a few weeks ago too. Uncle Murda even threw a shot about how they selling more concert tickets than ninjas selling albums.

    2. 50 cent is known here in Zimbabwe more than ross, gay diddy and jay z combined. Why is this correctional officer in the convo in the 1st place
