Rick Ross has found himself on both sides of rap beef — launching and also finding himself at the receiving end of some of the most brutal bars in rap music.

But in a recent interview with Logan Paul’s podcast Impaulsive, which dropped on Tuesday (February 6), the Bawse made clear that he doesn’t believe there are any rules or limits when it comes to engaging in verbal sparring.

“I think, you know, it’s a sport,” he said, when asked by the hosts about the ongoing Nicki Minaj-Megan Thee Stallion feud. “It’s about that. It’s about having fun, you know what I mean? I call it fun.”

Expounding a little further on the Megan-Nicki feud, he continued: “I mean, Megan got off on her record. She got off on her joint, you know? And Nicki, being the queen she is in the rap game, she responded. Got off a record. And that’s what you’re supposed to do.”

Asked further about whether Minaj’s comments about the Houston Hottie’s dead mother were a bridge too far, Rick Ross explained: “Yeah, you could say that.”

Check out the full interview below. The comments about the Megan Thee Stallion and Nicki Minaj beef start at the 52 minute mark.

Elsewhere in the interview, the MMG mogul discussed the historic beef between two rap legends with whom he has collaborated separately in the past: Nas and JAY-Z

“That’s what I do love about Hip Hop because it always goes back to how much money a n-gga got,” he said after co-host Mike Majlak implied that JAY-Z won the battle “from a business standpoint.”

“I’ma be honest, me being a fan of Nas and Hov, I feel like they both handled their business, you know what I mean? Because they both shot back. And to me, that’s what it’s about because a lot of times n-ggas will tap out. They both shot back and they both kept going.”

Though Rick Ross refused to call the feud either way, others have been more definitive about the battle. Dame Dash, who ran Roc-A-Fella with JAY-Z before their falling out, actually believed Nas won the beef.

During an appearance on the That’s F***ed Up Podcast last year, the Harlem-bred mogul reflected on the legendary feud and said that Hov’s response to “Ether,” “Super Ugly,” was subpar.

“Jay’s response was terrible,” he said. “The thing is, we had first hit him with the joint at Summer Jam that was kinda hard, the ‘Takeover.’ But when [Nas] came with the ‘Ether,’ I was kinda hype because he said my name. I was like, ‘I guess I’m in a rap record.’

“But the response, I wasn’t there for the response. I had landed, Irv Gotti fucked that one up. Every time Irv Gotti got in my business, he fucked shit up … He threw that ‘Ether’ on him. He had him apologizing. The rap that he did was wack — when I heard it, I was pissed.”
