Rick Ross’ second annual car and bike show has run into a roadblock with Fayette County reportedly denying him a permit to host the event at his Georgia mansion.
According to documents obtained by XXL, the permit was denied on Tuesday (May 16) by the county because it “is not in compliance with Fayette County Zoning Ordinance.”
Rozay is slated to host the car show at his Promise Land estate on June 3 with performances from himself and Gucci Mane.
“Any decision to allow the 2022 event to move forward as a conditional use in the A-R Zoning District was made outside of the scope of authority of the then acting Director of Planning & Zoning/ Zoning Administrator,” the doc reportedly reads.
After getting wind of the county’s ruling, Ross doubled down that his show will go on as planned with or without the county on board.
“Breaking news, the Rick Ross Car Show June 3 goes on. It must go on,” he claimed in a series of clips posted to his Instagram Story. “It’s a private event on private property with VIPs and you’re invited. Tickets still available online. It’s going to be a beautiful event. Shoutout to the beautiful city of Fayetteville.”
The Biggest Boss continued: “This when I become great during the challenges. That’s what I like. That’s why I was always one to initiate certain things because I love the challenge. I don’t have a problem going against the challenges because Ricky Rozay ready. Is it really a challenge?”
According to WSB-TV, the MMG mogul’s neighbors went to the Fayette County Board of Commissioners in April and complained that last year’s car show brought traffic in the area to a complete standstill.
Some neighbors signed petitions to kill the car show and others threatened to go on vacation just to avoid the excess of people.
“Imma tell you this — I wouldn’t even feel right if they weren’t boycottin’ Bawse,” Rick Ross responded on May 1 via Instagram. “Because I never got nothin’ easy. It was never handed to me. I would be confused if they just let me get the money, when everybody else just met big rich producers and got record deals, and got rich. So, I would be confused if they weren’t boycottin’ the Bawse. HUH? HUH!”
Threatened to go on Vacation ?? Sounds like a serious threat….one I’d love to have.
Yeah it is your private property but what makes you think your neighbors want that foolishness in their neighborhood? Ross shouldn’t want it in his neighborhood either. It is attracting all kinds of noise, people, trash, and other activities to a relatively quiet neighborhood. Ross could be held legally liable for any neighborhood damages or disruptions caused by that event. Smarten up Ross! Don’t bring that foolishness to your house.
Exactly. Typical negroes doing typical negro behavior: disturbing the peace and being careless of others around them.
And it’s a wonder why at times certains groups aren’t allowed or prevented to move into certain neighborhoods.
He has the revenues to do that show anywhere else that’s accomodating to traffic noise etc it’ll bring. Just typical. Lol
Money clearly can’t buy class or etiquette.
News Flash! He doesn’t live in a “Neighborhood”, he lives in Evander Holyfields old mansion. Which is on the corner of Old National Highway and SR 316! It’s a bunch of Land which can probably host thousands!
No one complained about noise. I think the problem was traffic. So you really shouldn’t make comments if you don’t really know what the problem is.

Typical Negroes, the nerve of you to comment in such an offensive manner? The point: ” if they don’t want the Typical Negroes” then I’ll show them……. Rick Ross has a right to celebrate his success anyway he desires. Besides, it’s not going to last forever or actually impose on anyone’s property!
Money can buy a lot of things, but no one is above the Law. Most folks think that they can do whatever they want on their private property, but when permits and other documents come into the picture, law enforcement wont be far behind
We don’t need all the cars polluting the air in our neighborhood Traffic slow for hours and hours find some elsewhere to do on your weekend the public was not interested in your car show or partying
