Rhymesayers Entertainment celebrates its twentieth anniversary this year. In honor of the landmark, the label is hosting a concert December 4 at the Target Center in Minneapolis.
Rhymesayers artists Aesop Rock, Atmosphere, Brother Ali, Dilated Peoples, DJ Abilities, Freeway, Grayskul, Jake One, P.O.S, Prof, The Uncluded, Toki Wright and others are scheduled to perform.
The event is sponsored by First Avenue. General admission tickets are available for $20 to commemorate the 20 years. VIP packages are on sale for $100 and include VIP entrance, seating, laminate, T-shirt, sticker, bag and access to VIP-only bars. Tickets go on sale to the public Friday (October 16).
The label released its first project in 1996 with Musab (then known as Beyond)’s Comparison. Rhymesayers was featured in HipHopDX’s list of 10 Explosive Independent Hip Hop Labels.
