Rev Run Executive Produces Team Blackout Debut Album

After about four years of watching JoJo, Zach, and Reggie a.k.a. Team
    Blackout
go through the trials and tribulations of breaking into the
industry on MTV‘s Run’s House, fans will finally have the opportunity to listen to Team Blackout‘s final product Lights Out this summer.

Team Blackout, whose name was inspired by the 2003 New York City
blackout, attained a record deal with Latchkey Recordings last year and
have been hard at work creating tracks for Lights Out since.

    I’m
really excited about the album. We had a lot of fun recording it,
    Zach
told HipHopDX in a statement. “I feel like we’re bringing back the fun
into Hip-Hop but still focused on bringing that lyricism as well.
There’s something for everyone: for the girls, the clubs, to bump in
    the car.

The trio has garnered much of their fame from their appearances on Run’s House, but are adamant about letting people know that they worked hard to get where they are today.

    Many
people doubt us because of who we are and how we got in the music
    industry,
Reggie told HipHopDX. “What people don’t understand is that
it took a lot of hard work and patience. Judge our album based on the
    music, not on the show.

Lights Out is executive produced by Reverend Run and features production by Chris and Teeb, Rockwilder, and Ron Browz [click to read].

    The
album is fire. We all got swaggy on it. I want to thank Drop Zone for the production,
    JoJo told HipHopDX.
Their beats were so hot we had to step up our lyrics up. I think the
    fans will be very pleased.

Team Blackout‘s debut album Lights Out will be released on August 19 and season five of Run’s House airs this summer.
