This is what various artists have had to say about the terrorist attacks on America.
?uestlove: I pray that all of you are truly enjoying life. If you learn nothing at all, learn this: TAKE NOTHING FOR GRANTED. For real. NOTHING. So what lies ahead for us? I dunno. I find it strange that they have covered the identity of the men who were down with this mission in Boston. Makes me think that America will find what they want to. I’m sure the parents of Chandra Levy wished the government could act just as swift and intense in the search for their daughter. Or what about the so called Atlanta Olympic bomber?
Bad Azz: I’m like this man, it’s bigger than us. It’s out of our control, we gonna let God handle it and if we end up going to war and man kills some more man then its in God’s hands. This life is something bigger than us, so we got to let go and let God handle it. It’s like kids fight in the sandbox, grown men fight in the world. It’s different beliefs; it’s different views that people got, financial situations that people fight over. I don’t feel that war is right but I don’t feel like a person should get hit and not fight back. So it’s a catch 22 right now, somebody done got hit and a decision must be made. It’s just in God’s hands now.
Daz Dillinger: It was terrible disaster and like Bush said those who are responsible is gonna get their motherfuckin’ jaw knocked off! We all gotta stand as a people, do what we have to do, continue to pray for the victims, as well as ourselves and the enemy. America God bless!
DJ Evil Dee: R.I.P. to all of the people who lost their lives in this tragedy. My prayers go out to all the people who lost love ones at this time.
Kurupt: Yeah, we gonna whoop their ass, they better stay off the fuckin’ streets and go home! And to the victims and their families, ya’ll keep ya head up, we all ridin’ with ya’ll, it’s gonna get handled. But there isn’t really anything positive to say about this situation.
Jise One: Today I’m at a loss of words to even start trying to express how I feel about what has happened in New York. Until [Tuesday] morning on the date of September 11, I was only filled with such an anticipation, going about my day, giving praise that The Arsonists are finally releasing Date Of Birth. No more than 35 minutes later, I hear that the first plane crashed into the first tower. I immediately turn the television on, and bam! I see this plane come out of nowhere and rams right into the second tower. People jumping out of windows, was at that moment, the most horrible thing I’ve could’ve seen in my life and bam! I start seeing the first tower collapse! Then bam! The second tower goes down. My life, whether I like it or not, will never be the same after seeing such a thing. Growing up in the neighborhood, seeing drug abuse, teenage pregnancy, young kids dying couldn’t compare to what I’ve seen on the date of September 11. I could get a little more detailed when I’ve really thought this through with some rest cause I haven’t been sleeping that well. My condolences to the victim’s families and the families of those who survived this tragic event. Peace!
RBX: I think it was a complete travesty, man. So many innocent lives were lost. I know there’s a lot of political things going of right now that the public don’t know about, but as far as I know that was wrong and it shouldn’t have been done. You’ve got problems; you take it up with the person you got problems with. That all I got to say.
Sir Jinx: The scariest thing about that whole situation on Tuesday is I was in New York and I saw it, straight up Like, if you look at the footage and you see the debris falling out, them is people jumping to their death, man! That was a real traumatic experience for me! By me doing my DJ thing, and living my life, your life can come to a screeching halt by some other person’s negligence, nahmean. It’s kind of wild, and it hit me hard man. See, I’m a producer and I produce my music and that’s definitely a mood changer, like that can make me make music about that environment. That environment is so dark and unknown; you don’t know where it came from. So it’s a definitely a vibe, and it was really hard for me.
Wordsworth: I’m mad shocked! I used to work there last year! The U.S. got caught sleeping, what happened to airport security? My condolences to all the victims and their families.
