In honor of Halloween, MTV created a list of “11 Rap Songs That Could Be Insane Horror Movies.”
Eminem‘s “3 a.m.” is among the songs selected. The cut from 2009’s Relapse is listed because of Slim Shady’s intense storytelling.
“Eminem crafted one of his most psychotic characters of all time (and that’s saying a whole lot) with ‘3 a.m.'” the site says. “In the song, Slim plays a man who wakes ‘up naked at McDonald’s with blood all over’ and ‘dead bodies behind the counter’ because, well, he ‘must’ve just blacked out again.’”
Eminem’s collaborator Tech N9ne makes the cut with “Am I Psycho?” The track features B.o.B and Hopsin.
“Tech talks about liking fire on his skin (and more we won’t get into here),” the story says. “Hopsin talks about mood swings turning his dreams into gruesome scenes and B.o.B. rhymes about breaking faces and then breaking them again. The song provides a solid backdrop of three insanely scary characters that could surely be further developed with the right screenwriter.”
The Geto Boys‘ “Mind Playin’ Tricks on Me” from 1991’s We Can’t Be Stopped was also included because of the searing imagery used by the three rappers.
“Scarface has ‘visions of bodies being burned,'” the post says. “Willie D is so paranoid he fears for his life but only sees ‘three blind, crippled and crazy senior citizens.’ Meanwhile, Bushwick Bill robs children who are trick-or-treating and eventually fights an invisible ghost and bloodies his hands by ‘punching on the concrete.'”

No BLH? He writes horror song after horror song. Kinda surprised he didn’t make the cut,
His discography could be a whole series of horror films.

No Brotha Lynch or Gravediggaz?….you bitches don’t know hip hop…..and there were horror movie hip hop songs before King Vulture Eminem came onto the scene.
Em gave so much to the hiphop community and u call him a vulture? when was the last time u did something for your community ?all you do is steal music online and u talk about vultures?
No Triple 6 Mafia? Lord Infamous (RIP) & Koopsta Knicca both were killing it!! You can”t leave out Brotha Lynch either
Mainstream weakness they haven’t heard BLH or ICP that’s apparent but if you want real horror story music dip into Horrorcore and experience real horror movie rap music. Razakel, mental ward, troubled mindz.
