R. Kelly Sued for Missing Concert

    R. Kelly is being sued by Royalty Records, a Nevada-based promoter, for failing to appear at a scheduled performance.

The suit, which was filed in an Atlanta District Court, claims that Kells agreed to come on stage at the Target Center alongside Keyshia Cole and Ne-Yo. According to TMZ, Kells didn’t show up, but still incurred a $120,000 fee for it.

The suit also stipulates that R. Kelly moved the show from its original date to the 20th, which was the day he was required to appear at a Chicago court or face arrest.

Now, the singer is being asked to show up in an Atlanta court by the promoter, who says Kells “never intended” to do the show. The promoter is suing not only for his money back, but for unspecified damages as well.

Currently, R. Kelly is still facing charges of child pornography.
