After months of civil suits for alleged criminal sexual misconduct, R. Kelly is being sued in a fourth civil suit. In this suit, Montina “Tina” Woods, 33, alleges to be one of the women on the Kelly sex tapes that have been posted on the black-market.
Woods, a former dancer for Kelly, says she did not know that the sexual encounter she had with R. Kelly would be taped and is seeking $50,000. “Woods had a right to privacy to prevent her personal image from being recorded for the purpose of Kelly’s sexual gratification and possible dissemination to the public. R. Kelly should have known that this was likely to cause severe emotional harm and economic harm to Woods”, the suit states. “R. Kelly knew or had to have known such distribution would cause irreparable harm to further employment opportunities by the negligent release of an unauthorized videotape of Woods, since she is also in the entertainment industry”.
Montina says the sexual encounter occurred at Kelly’s Chicago Trax studio. R.Kelly’s lawyers have responded to this new suit saying it is “nonsensical” and “ridiculous”. R.Kelly’s lawyers have settled two previous lawsuits out of court before.
