Queen Latifah’s “Bessie” Wins Four Creative Emmy Awards

    Queen Latifah’s Bessie won the “Outstanding Television Movie” Saturday (September 12) at the Creative Arts Emmys, held at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, Variety reports.

    The biopic about blues singer Bessie Smith also won “Outstanding Sound Mixing for a Limited Series or a Movie,” “Outstanding Music Composition for a Limited Series, Movie or a Special (Original Dramatic Score)” and “Outstanding Cinematography for a Limited Series or Movie.”

    Queen Latifah starred as Smith and executively produced the film. Mike Epps and Mo’Nique also appear in the movie.

    1. Good for the queen…SOME MOVIES SHE BEEN IN ARE ACTUALLY GOOD BUT SOME JUST AVERAGE AT BEST BUT THIS MOVIE ISNT THAT BAD…PREFER SET IT OFF THO
