Queen Latifah, who once managed OutKast, has said that the duo is set to work on a new album. According to a Huffington Post report, OutKast is also slated to be working on films, Latifah says.
“They’re chilling,” Queen Latifah said during an interview with Howard Stern. “They’re doing movies. They’re about to work on a new album.”
This news comes following an announcement of more than 40 confirmed concert dates from the Georgia duo. Yesterday (January 13), OutKast announced that it is slated to go on a festival run, one that includes Coachella, which was originally thought to be the group’s only festival date.
The official announcement also came with a statement from Andre 3000 about the group’s return.
“Returning to the stage together is the most exciting way for us to thank everyone for their 20 years of supporting OutKast,” Andre said.
Big Boi also addressed the reunion with his own statement on the matter.
“I’m looking forward to rocking the stage with my Bro Ski and to all the fans, stank you smelly much,” Big said. “This is for y’all.”

Love Outkast. Will definitely buy, but with this long of a hiatus, I can’t see it living up to the hype we already built up in our heads
honestly, outkast has always been hyped up, but those two together have yet to make a bad song.. once chemistry gets back, creativity builds, I don’t see how ppl will be disappointed, but I own every album of theirs and bump them regularly, no one has ever been on their level.
