Quavo has revealed that fans will have to wait a bit longer to receive Rocket Power as his new solo album has been delayed.

While the project was originally slated to arrive on Friday (August 4), that won’t be the case anymore as Huncho announced that it will now be released on August 18.

“We gotta run some more tests before the rocket is ready to launch,” Quavo explained in an Instagram post on Monday (July 31). “8/18 #RocketPower.”

The accompanying clip finds the Migos rapper back in the studio working on the LP alone while an ominous beat booms through the speakers and the album trailer plays on the projector.

Fans had a mixed reaction to the news as some were okay with Quavo making last-minute improvements to the album, while others were disappointed by the delay.

“N-gga heard Travis and Uzi shit and said hold up I gotta harder pause,” one person wrote, while another added: “Bruh Ik you ain’t just extend the date.”

One fan even predicted that Rocket Power will be album of the year, writing: “Ong dis funna be the best album for da year!”

Quavo ramped up the Rocket Power rollout last month by teaming up with Future for his latest single, “Turn Yo Clic Up.”

In a recent interview, the Georgia native revealed that his late nephew TakeOff will also featured on his forthcoming album, but he wants to keep most of his verses saved for Take’s upcoming posthumous project.

“I use a couple unreleased verses but I want to keep his stuff very, very, very sacred right now for his project. I don’t want to be pulling the stuff then we get to his project and not know what to do,” Quavo said in a video uploaded to his YouTube page.

“And knowing him, he like he want his shit right and hold it. I stay away from it and I just be hearing him talk to me all the time just be like — just so sacred and quiet and keep his stuff to him.
