Pusha T has mocked Drake‘s defamation lawsuit against UMG and his decision to take rap beef to the courtroom.
In a new interview with GQ, Pusha said: “If [Drake’s] adamant to have a lawsuit, it’s only because he knows all the things that they did to suppress everything that was happening around Adidon and the verses and the records and things that were happening back then.
The Clipse star added: “I don’t rate him no more. The suing thing is bigger than some rap shit. I just don’t rate you. Damn, it’s like it just kind of cheapens the art of it once we gotta have real questions about suing and litigation. Like, what? For this?”
Pusha also stated that he over his beef with Drake: “I think after everything that had been done, I don’t think there was ever anything subliminal to be said ever again in life.
“Not only just musically, like bro, I actually was in Canada. I actually had a show and made it home. So, I can’t pay attention to none of that. I did the dance for real, not to come back and tiptoe around anything.”
Pusha’s issues with Drake also led to him and Clipse parting ways with Def Jam ahead of the release of Let God Sort Em Out, the highly anticipated reunion album from the two brothers.
In the same interview, Pusha said that Def Jam wanted him to remove Kendrick Lamar’s guest feature from the upcoming album.
He said: “They wanted me to ask Kendrick to censor his verse, which of course I was never doing. And then they wanted me to take the record off. And so, after a month of not doing it, Steve Gawley, the lawyer over there was like, ‘We’ll just drop the Clipse.’ But that can’t work because I’m still there [solo]. But [if] you let us all go… ”
It was also revealed that Def Jam were concerned about the optics of two of Drake’s arch rivals teaming up on a track while his lawsuit against UMG was ongoing.
As a result, Clipse and Pusha departed the label and eventually signed with Roc Nation to release their highly anticipated reunion album.
Def Jam and UMG are yet to comment on Pusha’s allegations.
Everyone hates Drake
Yep
Let God sort him out.
This just helps Drake more in the lawsuit also all he has to do if its true is reveal that he did have dirt on Pusha from their beef and UMG told him not to reveal that in a song and still to this day we don’t know what it is? Also Pusha now hanging wjth the jigga man? Not a good look and Harley Pasternak?
Give it a rest Ovo, Drake isn’t going to fvck you
Meanwhile Pusher Tea had to bow down and sign to Jay-z and Rat Nation to get him off his Def Jam deal just so he can release another album. After 25 years in the industry and talking all that shit about Wayne and Drakes record deals…his own “contract all fucked up, I guess that means you all fucked up”
Meanwhile Pusha T had to pay to get out of his deal, and got a new one where he owns his masters. After 25 years in the industry he owns his music, Birdman still owns the masters from Drake and Wayne’s albums from their old fucked up contracts. At least you tried you stupid bitch LOL.
His masters ain’t worth shit though. Drakes still earns more in 6 months than Pusha T has earned his whole career.
“I don’t rate him no more. The suing thing is bigger than some rap shit. I just don’t rate you.” He’s a nobody. Exactly. He’s done.
“I don’t rate him no more. The suing thing is bigger than some rap shit. I just don’t rate you.” He’s a nobody. Exactly. Treat him like Mike Jones.
