Prof “Liability” Release Date, Cover Art, Tracklist & Album Stream

Prof is releasing the stream of his Liability album exclusively through HipHopDX. The Minneapolis rapper’s 16-track project is set to be released to retail tomorrow (October 16).

Atmosphere’s Ant, Aesop Rock, Big Chocolate, Mux Mool and Curtiss King are among the producers on the project, which Prof says describes his role on Rhymesayers Entertainment, which is releasing Liability.

“We picked the title Liability because that about sums me up,” Prof says during an exclusive interview with HipHopDX. “I’m definitely the fuck-up of Rhymesayers, the wild card.”

To this point, Liability features high-profile, non-Rhymesayers collaborations. Tech N9ne appears on “Ghost,” while Waka Flocka Flame guests on “Apeshit” and Petey Pablo appears on “King.”

Prof says that he didn’t set out to have specific artists on Liability

“I let the beat come first, and then I reached out to heads that I thought would be perfect over it, after,” Prof says. “That’s the way it should be, if you ask me. Let shit happen through the music. I mean, just listen to those songs. They’re the shit. Donald Trump probably lifts weights to them.”

The retail version of Liability will also showcase 16 song-specific illustrations, drawn by Prof himself, which will be included in a 36-page booklet that comes with the CD version of the project.

      1. are you fucking kidding me? you do realize they have been rapping together in the tc for 10 yrs + as in together. they are both amazing but don’t say someone is ripping someone off when they are from the same place do the same thing. its called midwest rap get with it bro. you don’t like is go look up any other rhymesayers artists from minnesota.

      2. ferreal? different flow, image, and personality. dont know shit about rhymesayers or stomphouse eh? shut up then?

      3. @killgannon- you just proved his point exactly by saying, “they’re from the same place and do the same thing.” yep. slug created a style many years ago. it involves presenting yourself as a whiskey-drinking, dirty, self-deprecating “sad clown” who obsesses over women, alcohol, and one night stands. that is slug’s style that he created. just because prof and grieves (and a ton of other crappy white rappers) bite that whole image and style doesn’t mean they have a right.

      4. You’re just making shit up as you go and that’s gay Trey. Punch yourself in the face. Poop your pants.

    1. why does every white rapper try to do the exact same image?

“oh i’m a crazy psychotic white trash bad boy!” ….GTFOA!

      1. brah you made an account to bash someone cause you can’t do this shit yourself. hit me back when you get a song with waka.
