Post Malone may have switched genres, but it looks like he won’t be swapping out his usual position on the top of the charts.
According to a post on X (formerly Twitter) from Chart Data on Saturday (August 17), the new country album from Posty, F-1 Trillion, is set to land at No.1 on the Billboard 200.

The LP is projected to move the equivalent of 200-225K units sold. If the model proves to be correct, it will mark Malone’s first chart-topper since 2019.

Post Malone is not only expanding his empire into country music, but he recently added another credit to his growing filmography.
The “Circles” singer acts in the reimagining of 1989’s Road House, starring Jake Gyllenhaal in the role that the late Patrick Swayze made famous. Malone stars in the role of Carter.

When the news was first announced, Gyllenhaal took to Instagram to share a photo of himself with the “Sunflower” rapper. “A man of many talents. To say it was a pleasure working together is an understatement. Welcome to the #roadhouse @postmalone !” he wrote in the caption.
While Posty is mostly focused on pop and country music these day, accusations of being a “culture vulture” from his time in the Hip Hop space still sit with him.

In an interview with CBS Sunday Morning that aired earlier this month, Posty admitted how much the label hurt him early in his career and how it led him down a self-destructive path.
“It sucked. I was a kid,” he said. “[I dealt with it by] drink[ing] a lot. I absolutely [took it personal.] It’s hard not to.”

“But,” he concluded, “[you don’t make music] for the people who hate you. It’s for the people who love you, and for yourself.
Last year, Post Malone had to speak out and deny he was taking drugs following concerns over weight loss.
After his show in Antwerp, Belgium last April, the “White Iverson” singer took to Instagram to clear up concerns relating to his body and stage presence.
“4/28/2023, Antwerp Belgium! hello everybody, i hope you’re having a great night,” he began. “i wanted to say that i’m not doing drugs, i’ve had a lot of people ask me about my weight loss and i’d suppose, performance on stage.”

He concluded: “i’m having a lot of fun performing, and have never felt healthier. i guess dad life kicked in and i decided to kick soda, and start eating better so i can be around for a long time for this little angel.”
