Pooh Shiesty and his two co-defendants may be forced to pay over $1.1million in restitution for the two men they allegedly shot and injured in 2020.
According to documents obtained by VLAD TV on Tuesday (February 21), prosecutors have formally asked a federal judge to require Shiesty and co-defendants Bobby Brown and Jayden Darosa to pay the two victims a total of $1,149,828.43 – a number they said they arrived at based on medical reports by a suffering expert.

However, the “Back In Blood” rapper’s lawyer, Bradford Cohen, is contesting the restitution figure. He also called it a “judicial shakedown” in a recent court hearing, adding that the two “victims” were actually armed and had showed up to sell drugs to Shiesty and his friends.
“So it’s essentially Tony Montana is asking the Colombians to pay him for the injuries he received,” Cohen said, according to a transcript of the hearing.

Pooh Shiesty was sentenced to five years and three months in prison in April after pleading guilty to federal conspiracy charges in connection with a shooting that took place in South Florida in October 2020. He was originally facing eight years for allegedly shooting 28-year-old Brandon Cooper, but took a plea deal for a reduced sentence.
Darosa was sentenced to 96 months, and Brown was given 57 months. The three are due back in court on February 28 for a decision in the restitution matter.

Meanwhile, Pooh Shiesty has allegedly been facing some harsh conditions while behind bars at the United States Penitentiary Pollock (USP Pollock) – and Gucci Mane recently spoke out in his defense in an attempt to get his artist better treatment.
According to Gucci, an investigation needs to be conducted into the penitentiary.
“We do not pay attention to how inmates in the US are treated,” he wrote. “@poohshiesty has been sent to a prison over 1500 miles from his home, 23 hr lock down and given empty food trays. USP Pollack should be investigated immediately.”
In his caption, Guwop called on President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris to intervene, writing: “This is unacceptable! #movepooh #prisonreform @potus @vp @kamalaharris.”
Shiesty’s close friend and collaborator, BIG30, also joined the fight by resharing Gucci’s post on his own Instagram page and demanding President Biden and VP Harris “move Pooh Shiesty immediately.”

Earlier this year, Shiesty was moved from Turner Guilford Night Correctional Center in Miami to his current location at USP Pollock, where he is expected to see out the remainder of his sentence.
