Earlier this week, we reported that Ice-T was arrested after being pulled over for driving without a seatbelt. His wife, Coco, who was also in the car at the time of the stop, Tweeted that she didn’t know why he was arrested. Later, Ice took to his own Twitter account to speak on the issue.
Now, New York Patrolmen’s Benevolent Association President, Patrick Lynch, has responded to what was said.
“[Ice-T] may play a police officer on TV [Law & Order: SVU], but his disdain for law enforcement is well-documented,” Lynch said, according to the New York Post. “Real police officers enforce real laws that exist to keep everyone safe, even a disrespectful, former rap performer-turned-actor, whether he likes it or not.”
