Police Shot At Chief Keef Prior To 2011 Arrest

Details have emerged in Chief Keef’s arrest in December 2011 stemming from an incident where he pointed a handgun at officers.

According to DNAInfo.com, Keef left his grandmother’s home holding a coat over his hands in front of his waistband. A policeman stopped to question the rapper, who dropped the coat, flashed a blue-steel handgun and ran away.

Officers chased then 16-year-old Keef, who turned around several times and pointed the gun at them. The policemen “discharged their weapons,” but missed. They caught him a half-block later and recovered the pistol, which was loaded.

Keef was charged with three counts of aggravated assault with a firearm on a police officer and aggravated unlawful use of a weapon. He was also given a misdemeanor charge for resisting arrest.

The “I Don’t Like” rapper will return to court later this month for a probation violation hearing for conducting an interview at a gun range and failing to complete his GED before deadline. If he in fact violated his probation, it is unclear how much time the 17-year-old would serve. In some cases, underage felons are detained with adults at Cook County jail.

      1. That guy who got shot 9 times can’t even get an album in stores, so no Keef needs a new gimmick. Maybe he can say he’s Jay Z’s son.

    1. this cant be used to boost street cred because people already know that Keef and his boys are dumb and wild.
Also this is explaining into detail why he was on probation to begin with. this isnt anything new.

And to those that think its to help boost record sales, its common knowledge that record sales decrease week after week once the album has come out. On top of that Interscope is a billion dollar label. You think theyre analysts didnt predict that his album wouldnt sell a lot? get outta here, theyre tryin to drop his project then maybe even release him. You think they shipped out a million copies? hell no, interscope is smarter than that. At most they probably shipped 125k

    2. Whoa! dude was almost deaded and would’ve been another Chiraq story. He needs to get it together and turn his life around.

      1. did you not read the story????? thats exactly what he did,,,, he got in a shootout with police,,,, there were rumors that he was dead,,, he makes BACK FROM THE DEAD mixtape with “i dont like” and now the world knows who he is

    3. we need less retards in the game. this kid is dumb as shit!!! there’s talent in chicago i wish dope emcees out there were getting shine. met a few young dudes who got bars out there

    4. I’ve been running around telling you niggas this forever but y’all didn’t wanna hear me. The hunt’s on Chief’s head, whether you niggas like it or not. He’ll be dead by August.

      1. They’re treating this kid like a lab rat. Like, “wow, a real live product of Chicago, aka Chiraq”. They will discard him once the experiment becomes uninteresting. They thought they could do that with 50 but he planted his flag before they could do it. Now the game wants him out because he’s thugged out and powerful but it’s too late. Keef never should’ve blown off 50 Cent. That cat is the only mogul that had your back.

      1. I agree. Although you shouldn’t wish death upon no one, this guy is trouble. He embraces violence and has influenced many in a negative way. Worst of all, the guy was rewarded with a huge record deal.

    5. yall are so dumb. he was 16 years old, and on top of that he is in chi town which is boomin with violence and teen violence….ur laptop at ur moms house can make u think people are dumb but life is real and some peoples lives are a lil bit more violent than going to trader joes and yelling at your mama to give you money for juice…listen to the beatles if u dont like struggle or the violence from it

    6. Chief Keef was thugging even back then.Chief look like he will kill yo ass or have some crazy ass dudes to do it for him

    7. Punk ass rappers that talk about bustin’ and don’t. That that stuff I don’t like. This is Cook County they talking about. CHICAGO. Everybody got a gun. He dumb enough to get stopped. Let alone get busted on without bustin back. They even said he looked back numerous times and pointed. This is how you start a rap career. stupid kids with guns turn into stupid kids with guns and money.
