Plies has professed his hopes to see the resources used to locate the Titan submarine lost in the depths of the ocean reallocated to help find missing children throughout the United States.
The “Shawty” rapper took to Twitter on Thursday (June 22) to ruffle social media’s feathers after seeing the missing submarine containing five passengers lost at sea dominating conversation across the internet all week.

“Dear America After Y’all Get Done Looking For The Submarine. Can Y’all Spend The Same Money & Time Looking For Some Of These Missing Kids Around America. That Would Be Great!! Thanks In Advance,” he wrote.
The candid tweet quickly went viral and evoked responses on both sides of the coin while compiling over 2,000 likes as of press time.
“They can’t do that, too many celebs and government officials involved with child trafficking,” one person wrote while another added: “I was thinking the same damn thing, those people chose to get in that contraption.”

Unfortunately, OceanGate announced on Thursday that the search was over and the five passengers aboard the submarine have tragically passed away.
“We now believe that our CEO Stockton Rush, Shahzada Dawood and his son Suleman Dawood, Hamish Harding, and Paul-Henri Nargeolet, have sadly been lost,” OceanGate said in a statement. “These men were true explorers who shared a distinct spirit of adventure, and a deep passion for exploring and protecting the world’s oceans.
“Our hearts are with these five souls and every member of their families during this tragic time. We grieve the loss of life and joy they brought to everyone they knew.”
The Titan vessel was created by OceanGate to bring passengers on a tour of the wrecked Titanic, which sunk in 1912, and what’s left rests 4,000 meters deep into the ocean.

A Coastguard spokesperson revealed that debris was discovered from the OceanGate submarine in the vicinity of the Titanic.
As for the missing children issue plaguing America, the FBI’s National Crime Information Center reported 359,094 entries for missing children throughout the U.S. in 2022.
