Plies Pleads With Media To ‘Stop Forcing Taylor Swift On Football Fans’

Plies knows that the seemingly never-ending media coverage of Taylor Swift at Kansas City Chiefs games is only going to get worse now that they’re going to the Super Bowl — but he’s really hoping for a balance to be struck.

Swift was present to support her man Travis Kelce as the Chiefs beat the Baltimore Ravens in the AFC championship game on Sunday (January 28), and she was all over TV screens. Upon its conclusion, Plies took to Twitter/X to make a plea to the media moving forward.

“Dear @NFL Media: Can U Please Stop Forcing Taylor Swift On Football Fans!” he wrote. “We Get It She’s At The Game & She’s A Phenomenal Artist! But Damn If We Want To See Her This Much We’ll Go To Her Concert!! Y’all Show Her More Than Y’all Show The Owner Of The Chiefs! We Love Her But DAMN!”

You can check out Plies’ post below:

This isn’t the first time Plies has spoken out about the coverage surrounding Taylor Swift. Just last week, he spoke out against publications crediting the superstar singer for starting the long-running “Swag Surf” trend after she was spotted participating while at a Chiefs game.

“I Luv Seeing Taylor Swift & The Kansas City Chiefs Rock Out To ‘Swag Surfing’ On Sundays,” he wrote, referencing Swift’s recent antics while cheering on her Chiefs boyfriend Travis Kelce. “But Media Let’s Stop Acting Like They Created It!”

Reminding the world who’s actually responsible for “Swag Surfin’,” he added: “Let’s Give Props To F.L.Y, Atlanta & The HBCU Community For Birthing The Phenomenon!!”

But still, Plies has love for Swift and gave her all the props in a video last Fall — though he was confused at how her star has gotten as big as it has.

“I don’t want nobody in my comments mad at me, because I don’t mean it in no derogatory way,” he said in the September clip. “I’m trying to figure out Taylor Swift — how is the muthafucka this big? How? I ain’t never in my muthafuckin’ life!”

He continued: “Besides Michael Jackson, I mean. She got to be the muthafuckin’ Caucasian Michael! Because every muthafuckin’ child I find love them some Taylor!”

    1. Yeah she mad overrated as a pop artist and her lyrics are cringe.

    2. It was rigged to have the b!tch be apart of the Super Bowl and a Chiefs win will double down on that.

      1. Can you explain how it was rigged other than a conspiracy theory? Were there obvious errand calls in the Bills game they won? Did the NFL force the Ravens not to cover Travis Kelce to the tune of 11 catches for 116yds? Was Gooddell in on it forcing the Ravens to turn the ball over twice in the endzone? This is just a tinfoil hat take with no substance or proof behind it seeing how the Chiefs already won two super bowls before Kelce and Swift started dating.

      2. Yep. Keep believing sports aren’t rigged, elections are honest, and the government doesn’t lie or cheat. Sports is one of the most profitable things in USA. Of course it’s rigged.

      3. @Jay – so you’re saying, you don’t have any bit of proof that the NFL is rigged and are just regurgitating the tin foil hat clan? If it was rigged, wouldn’t the big market teams win every year?

    3. We need more shots of old white men in the booth. Are people serious with this? I remember when Kurt Warner played, they would show shots of Brenda Warner every single game, but they’re supposed to ignore the biggest pop star in the world? Makes perfect sense. Sometimes I think people complain just to complain and don’t know why.

    4. This is why I stopped watching chiefs games besides the playoffs. They keep forcing us to look at this ugly cave heaux after every play.

      1. Pathetic is to stop watching sports because they show a girl on tv for a total of 3 minutes of a 3 hour broadcast.

    5. this happened when Jessica Simpson dated Tony Romo. It’s better for the NFL to show a super recognizable face than it is to show old ass Jerry Jones 100 times. Taylor swift is 10x more popular than Simpson ever was, and Kelce will end up going down as the best TE to ever play, so it makes sense they show her as often as they do, which in the totality of a 3 hour broadcast, they show her maybe a few minutes. If you can’t stomach a few minutes of someone being shown on tv, you’re mentally soft.

      1. Good point. Because the Cowboys never went to any Super Bowls. Matter of fact, they didn’t even win any games in the playoffs most years, and we all know the league would love to have them in the game. They always get the best ratings. Conspiracy theory people need to get help. Like something is wrong with them.
