Plies is in the hole for $50,000 after making a five-figure wager on TCU in the 2023 College Football National Championship game, in which the Horned Frogs were demolished by Georgia in record fashion.

The Florida native confidently tweeted about his bet on TCU prior to the game, saying he liked them to win the title despite the team being a 14-point underdog.

“I Got $50,000 On TCU Tonight I Like’em Str8 Up,” the “Hypnotized” rapper tweeted on Monday (January 9).

Unfortunately for Plies, he was on the wrong side of the worst defeat in Bowl Championship Series history as TCU was annihilated by the Georgia Bulldogs by 65-7 in a game that was mostly non-competitive from the kick-off and a clear mismatch of talent.

Fans weren’t quick to forget about Plies’ hefty bet and proceeded to clown the vocalist on Twitter. “I hope you didn’t bet it,” former NFL cornerback Antonio Cromartie replied. “The only reason they scored a TD was because of a miss communication between the DB’s lol!”

Plies had no choice but to eat his slice of humble pie following the loss, but promised he’d return and already has his sights on winning his $50,000 back with another bet on an NFL playoff game this weekend.

“TCU Y’all Better Be Glad I Already Paid The Bookie Cause I Might’ve Ran Off For The 3rd Time,” he wrote. “I’m On My Way To Studio Dropping Sum 2night!!! Good Sh*t Georgia!!! Might Put Another $50k Ball On The Bucs #NextMondayNight #GoingBigAll2023.″

Georgia quarterback Stetson Bennett threw for four touchdowns and ran for another two, which resulted in him being named offensive MVP of the National Championship Game for a second straight year. Plies made sure to give the 25-year-old his props for balling out on the biggest of stages.

“Hey College Coaches The Kid (Stetson Bennett) That Accounted For 6 TD’s In The National Championship Game. On The #1 Team In The Country. Wasn’t A 4 Or 5 Kid. An He’s Out Played A lot Of Your 4/5’s All Year! It’s Ok To Trust Your Own Eyes. The Smart Ones Do,” he added.

Plies wasn’t the only one to lose a bet on TCU. NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal also backed the wrong horse, and will now have to eat a fried frog on national television during the next broadcast of Inside the NBA on TNT later this week.
