Playboi Carti has fueled excitement for his long-awaited new album I Am Music, boosting hope that he’ll be sticking to his initial deadline of a March 2025 release.

In a series of social media posts over the weekend, the Atlanta rapper appeared to suggest that he’s gearing up to drop his next project very soon.

In response to a fan who commented on his aforementioned post and urged him to “just drop the album already,” Carti simply wrote: “FASHO [100 emoji].”

The enigmatic rap star further ramped up anticipation for I Am Music by claiming that it will be worth the wait.

“N THE REPLAY [VALUE] ON 10,” he declared in a separate Instagram Story.

I Am Music has been available to pre-save since September 2024, with a notice on Playboi Carti’s website saying the album would be released “NO LATER THAN SIX MONTHS FROM SEPTEMBER 12, 2024.”

With that March 12 deadine just over a week away, I Am Music could be released in the coming days.

The album was previously rumored to arrive before the end of 2024, especially after Carti premiered a slew of new songs at Rolling Loud Miami in December.

Some fans were so annoyed by the continued delay that they created an online petition calling for Carti to be banned from streaming platforms.

But earlier this year, Carti credited Kai Cenat with putting the battery in his back to finally share the long-awaited project.

In February, he reposted a video of the Twitch star urging him to drop I Am Music during a red carpet interview at the 2025 Grammy Awards.
