Playboi Carti Accused Of Being ‘Violent’ By Iggy Azalea

Playboi Carti has again been accused of acting violently by his ex-girlfriend, Iggy Azalea.

Akademiks previously tried to portray Azalea as a “jealous ex” which led the female MC to hit back on social media.

She wrote: “Yes @Akademiks I DMd you! 24hrs later, you had zero response… Because you don’t want to report factual information or stand corrected in a public forum. That’s the truth.

“I listened to your monologue trying to paint me as some obsessed jealous ex because you watch rage bait clips on social media instead of doing your job as a ‘reporter’ (watching interviews in full context before commenting).”

Iggy Azalea speaks on Playboi Carti in a new response to Akademiks:

“I don’t care at all who listens to the music, or if he’s the most successful best selling rapper ever. It has zero effect on my life. Truly. I’m not campaigning for anyone’s demise.”

Iggy then addressed her past relationship with Carti: “At the same time – I don’t think it’s a huge secret my experience involved a man who was violent & is (still) an addict – Im sorry, but that’s my reality & it does affect my life years later of course… because there’s a child involved.”

Iggy Azalea and Playboi Carti began dating in 2018 and broke up roughly two years later. The pair welcomed Onyx in April 2020.

Speaking of their “volatile” relationship on Emily Ratajkowski’s EmRata podcast last year, Iggy revealed that she decided to walk away from the Whole Lotta Red rapper not long after giving birth.

“Like, right after I had my son, I left his father,” she said. “Something happened one day with my son’s father and me, and it was just one of those moments where you’re just like, ‘I didn’t wake up thinking this is what my day would be.’ But by the end of the day, I was on a plane to Los Angeles and I never went back.”

She continued: “I didn’t think I was going to be leaving when I left. My father and my mother had such a volatile relationship that I wish I had seen less of it. And so that was what happened to me in that moment that I had on that day.

“I was like, I will never let my son see this because I don’t want him to see someone talk to me this way too, but because I don’t want him to ever learn this, I don’t want him to be exposed to this.”
