Philadelphia Rapper Mike Watts Cleared In Human Trafficking Case

After an October 12, 2015 review through a Camden County grand jury, no charges were brought against Philly rapper Mike Watts, nor either of the other alleged suspects, Staysha L. Hackman and Michelle Rolon.

Police had previously accused the aforementioned three of kidnapping an unnamed 20-year-old woman.

Mike Watts was arrested and charged yesterday (July 20) for luring a Houston woman to New Jersey by promising her a modeling contract, according to the Courier-Post.

The rapper allegedly forced the woman to dance at The Cove strip club in Philadelphia. She ran away from the apartment in which she was living and was chased down by two women who allegedly apprehended her and also played a role in forcing her to dance at the club.

Watts worked with Paul Wall, Bun B, Bizzy Bone and Too $hort on Watts’ 2006 album, Pandora’s Box.
