Peezy has taken a direct shot at President Biden while praising Donald Trump’s latest business endeavor into the footwear world.
According to TMZ, Fox News’ Raymond Arroyo recently made a bold statement, suggesting that Trump’s limited edition sneakers would earn him favor with the Black community because, as he put it, “they love sneakers.”
“This is connecting with Black America because they love sneakers. This is a big deal, certainly in the inner city. So when you have Trump roll out his sneaker line, they’re like, ‘Wait a minute, this is cool.’ He’s reaching them on a level that defies and is above politics,” said Arroyo on air.
The Never Surrender high-tops, priced at $399, made their debut last week at Sneaker Con in Philadelphia, touted as “The Greatest Sneaker Show on Earth.”
“I’ve wanted to do this a long time,” the disgraced president said at the time, The Guardian reports.
The kicks caught the attention of Detroit rapper Peezy, who appeared to echo Arroyo’s sentiments. Taking to social media, Peezy shared the Fox News clip and expressed his support for Trump and his quest for a size 13 in the now sold-out sneakers.
“Fuck Joe Biden, I’m rocking with Trump,” Peezy said, adding that he felt similarly towards VP Kamala Harris as he did about the president.
“Free Trump,” the rapper concluded. However, Trump has not yet responded to “2 Million Up” rapper’s plea.
Peezy is far from the only Hip Hop artist to voice his support for the controversial former president. Even Snoop Dogg, who previously called Trump “racist,” appeared to change his tune earlier this year.
In an interview with The Sunday Times, Snoop said: “Donald Trump? He ain’t done nothing wrong to me. He has done only great things for me.”
Snoop praised Trump for pardoning Death Row Records co-founder Michael “Harry-O” Harris, who spent 30 years behind bars on an attempted murder charge and drug offences.
“He pardoned Michael Harris. So I have nothing but love and respect for Donald Trump,” Snoop added.
