Pastor Troy has revealed how Deion Sanders partly inspired his rap career following Coach Prime’s historic victory in his Colorado debut.
The D.S.G.B. rapper went into the vault on Monday (September 4) and dug up his autographed The Encore Remix CD, which Sanders released in 2005 via Bungalo Records, and a University of Colorado football helmet.

The Georgia native reflected on doing a report on Deion Sanders as a fourth-grader as Prime Time embodied what Pastor Troy wanted to be in life. It appears he met the NFL Hall-of-Famer at an airport at an early age.
“I Did My Friday Report in the 4th Grade on the #1 pick for the Atlanta Falcons in 1989,” Troy began. “He was walking through the airport with them ropes on. He looked like what I wanted to look like, A Rapper!

In addition to playing in the NFL and MLB, Sanders moonlighted as a music artist. He delivered his Prime Time debut album in December 1994 via MC Hammer’s Bust It Records and even performed tracks as the musical guest on a 1995 episode of Saturday Night Live.
Meanwhile, Deion Sanders put the college football world on notice over the weekend when his Colorado Buffaloes upset the Texas Christian University (TCU) Horned Frogs 45-42.
The statement victory was Coach Prime’s debut at the University of Colorado since coming over from Jackson State University in a $29million deal as he looks to right the ship for the Pac-12 program that hasn’t seen much success in recent years.
Sanders’ Son, Shedeur, threw for a school-record 510 passing yards and four touchdowns in the thrilling win.

“I tried to tell you but you ain’t want to believe me,” Sanders responded to the detractors in his post-game presser. “I’m just a lofty young coach I don’t know nothing about football. I just played in the NFL for 14. Played at a high level in college for four.”
Coach Prime will look to keep the momentum going into next week’s battle with Matt Rhule’s Nebraska Cornhuskers as all eyes will be on the Buffs come Saturday afternoon (September 9).
