PARTYNEXTDOOR has issued an apology to Tory Lanez after teasing a diss song that he now admits was recorded prematurely.
On Thursday (February 26), the OVO Sound crooner previewed a song on his Instagram Live that appears to accuse Lanez of copying his sound.
“Fuck what Tory Lanez say, you know the B, I’m running that / I did everything he did, oh he’s just a running man […] You said I sound like Young Thug, you know you sound like me […] One day, you’ll be me.”
PND also said during the broadcast while introducing the untitled track: “I’m not y’all n-ggas’ friend. Fuck you talking ’bout, bro? Stop saying my name, n-gga.”

The following day, PND took to his Instagram Story to issue an apology.
“@torylanez I was told about what you said without hearing your video for myself. You didn’t say anything that I wouldn’t say myself, now that I seen it I was wrong. City is stronger together.”
The video PND was referring to was a call from Tory Lanez from behind bars where he was teasing new music.

“PARTYNEXTDOOR showed his best work of 2025, Drake showed his best work of 2025, The Weeknd showed his best work of 2025,” he said, referencing $ome $exy $ongs 4 U and Hurry Up Tomorrow. “Now it’s time for me to come out.”
This isn’t the first time Party has issued an apology for firing prematurely.
Last summer, PND let his Twitter fingers fly by calling out his ex as well as Chris Brown, Jeremih and Bryson Tiller because she’d appeared in their music video for “Wait On It.”
In since-deleted social media posts, the Canadian singer wrote: “I’m finna make these n-ggas cry… Bryson, Chris, Jeremih… enjoy the nights of your life.”

He then added: “Doing videos at 34, that bitch broke.”
It didn’t take long for Brown to fire back as he wrote on X: “N-ggas speak without thinking sometimes… then call around to my people trying to retract shit. NAW N-GGA, go on your socials and apologize or keep that same energy when you see me.”
Jeremih also responded to PARTYNEXTDOOR’s comments by writing on Instagram: “Mih fault if I double tapp….”

PND later walked back his outburst by tweeting: “to be clear, I got nothing but love n respect for those guys…. shit happens.”
