Big shared photos of the drop in a post to Instagram, simply captioning it, “Kast X Birds.”

OutKast fans have their heart set on a reunion in 2028 upon rumors that the Super Bowl will be hosted in their hometown of Atlanta that year.

Last month, the AJC reported that the NFL is expected to award Super Bowl LXII in 2028 to ATL when the owners meet in the city on October 15.

Once the news was shared by 2Cool2Blog, fans in the comments clamored for the legendary duo of André 3000 and Big Boi to take the stage, though there were a lot of votes for Future as well.

It’s worth noting, however, that the city the big game is hosted in rarely correlates with local talent, outside of Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg in Los Angeles in 2022. This was made quite clear just last month when it was announced that Kendrick Lamar would headline Super Bowl LIX next year in New Orleans – despite an outcry for Lil Wayne to perform.

It’s also worth noting that it’s been years since OutKast got together, though 3 Stacks did recently say he’d like to do another album. Whether it will actually come to fruition remains to be seen.

In the extended version of his interview with CBS Mornings in December, Dre was asked about whether Big Boi has ever pushed him to get back together in the many years since their last effort.

While revealing his longtime partner-in-rhyme has let him do his own thing, he still acknowledged his desire to challenge himself with rapping once again.

“No, to be honest,” he said in response to the Big Boi question. “No but I think because he knows who I am and knows what gets me going, knows what inspires me, knows when I’m excited about something. So I think in that sense, he’s never pushed that issue. But I’m sure like, I want another OutKast album. Yeah, like in my mind – but see, that’s the thing. That’s the human side. I want an OutKast album a long time ago.”

He continued: “And honestly for me as an individual, it would be gratifying to me to put out a solo rap situation. But not for nobody else at this point. It’s for me because I actually like the challenge of, ‘How could I make this part of my life interesting and rhyme in words?’ You know what I mean? Like how can I do that? So yeah, it’s still a challenge. So I think hopefully with will and intent, something will happen.”
