OJ Da Juiceman has been arrested on drug trafficking and gun charges after leading police on a car chase.
According to TMZ, OJ (real name Otis Williams Jr.) was flagged for speeding on March 4 in Coweta County, Georgia and initially refused to pull over, leading police officers on a short chase.

The rapper, best known for the 2008 hit “Make the Trap Say Aye,” eventually ceded. Upon searching his vehicle, cops found cocaine and a 9mm handgun in his possession.
The 42-year-old was then booked on charges of cocaine trafficking, possession with the intent to distribute, possession of a firearm, obstruction of justice, evidence tampering and eluding police.

OJ has been held in custody ever since with no bond. His next court date is currently scheduled for December 25, 2024.
Following news of his arrest, Juicy J called for his fellow rapper’s release, writing on X: “FREE The legend OJ Da Juiceman.”

This is not the first time that OJ Da Juiceman has found himself on the wrong side of the law.
Two years ago, the former Gucci Mane affiliate was arrested on similar charges in Kentucky after being found in possession of a handgun and marijuana.

Before that, in 2015, OJ was arrested on gun and drug charges in Tennessee while traveling to North Carolina for a performance.
The rapper was charged with intent to distribute, gun possession and unlawful crime with possession of a firearm after police discovered guns, marijuana and over 300 rounds of ammunition in his car.
While his music output has waned since the late ’00s and early ’10s, OJ recently recalled a negative experience opening for the Wu-Tang Clan in New York City which saw him get booed.
During an appearance on The 85 South Comedy Show, the Atlanta native said the brutal night happened around the time he made the song “Who’s Real” with Jadakiss and Swizz Beatz in 2009.

“I got booed in New York,” OJ said. “It was right around the time I got the song with Jadakiss. These folks booked me at a B.B. King bruh, but took me to a Wu-Tang Clan. I opened up for Wu-Tang Clan. You know what the crowd look like? Do you know what the crowd look like?”
He continued: “N-gga, I’m getting mad arguing with these folks while I rap like, ‘Why, I’ll beat your ass boy! Pussy ass n-gga!’ I was mad as hell boy, I ain’t never been booed fool. I was like, ‘Bro, why would they do that? Why would y’all put me on a Wu-Tang Clan [show]?’”
